Your logbook stays local. Your email stays yours.

That's the whole policy. What follows is the same sentence, slower — written to be read, not agreed to blind. Wingvault is a pilot logbook in development, made by WaveApp LLC ("we", "us"). This page covers this website; the app gets its own update here before it ships.

01 — The checker

Your file never leaves your device

The logbook checker reads the file you give it entirely in your browser. No upload, no account, and no copy kept anywhere. After a real file parses successfully, the page sends one anonymous analytics event containing only the detected format category, a row-count range, and whether the checks found anything. It never sends the file, filename, dates, routes, totals, or row contents.

02 — The waitlist

The only thing we collect

Joining the early-access list sends exactly one thing: your email address, and only when you submit the form yourself.

It travels from this page to our own server, then into Broadside — the newsletter system we self-host and operate (updates.upweb.dev). No third-party email service touches it. The subscriber row holds:

  • your email address,
  • when you joined, and
  • the consent trail the form carried — the page address, referrer, and technical request metadata (IP address and browser agent) used for consent records and abuse prevention.

It is used for a confirmation email when the list requires one, followed by the launch note. Not sold, not shared, not traded for anything. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. Or write to us and we'll show or delete your row.

03 — This website

Minimal anonymous analytics, no account

We use PostHog US Cloud to receive three explicit events: successful real-file parses, sample-report views, and successful waitlist requests. Requests go through this site's same-origin /ph relay. Autocapture, implicit page views, session replay, performance capture, exception capture, feature flags, advertising, and person profiles are disabled.

PostHog stores a random anonymous identifier in localStorage so we can count independent users without an account. We do not send email addresses, names, filenames, logbook contents or values, raw page addresses, or referrers to PostHog. No analytics cookies are used, and events request no IP geolocation enrichment. Fonts and site assets are self-hosted.

Our host keeps standard server logs (IP address and request time) for security and reliability; they are not used to identify you.

04 — The app

This page changes before the app does

Wingvault the app is in development. Before it ships — and before it could collect anything — this page gets updated to say exactly what it does with your data. A promise you can't verify is just marketing, so check back on launch day.
